In Person Opportunities - Residential Onsite Programs

Spring

We are looking for volunteer family pals, program pals, and medical staff to assist in our family weekend programs from March– June.  

Family Pals

Accompany families to program areas, make positive connections, and help build friendships among other families. Each family is assigned a family pal for their weekend at Camp.

Program Pals

Facilitate program areas the families attend including fishing, tower, archery, music, wood shop, cooking, and arts and crafts. Program pals receive training in the area(s) of their choosing.

Medical Staff

Medical staff will support the family arrivals and care throughout the weekend’s activities.

Registrations and applications for spring and summer residential programming will open on January 24, 2025.

Summer

We will be running seven sessions and two-family weekends in 2025. We’re looking for volunteer cabin counselors and medical staff to support our events!

Cabin Counselor

As a cabin counselor, you’ll be working alongside seasonal staff members and volunteers to support a small group of campers in a 6-day session of activities.

Medical Staff

As medical staff, you’ll be supporting cabins of campers in engaging in program activities safely throughout the session.

Workshop Volunteer

Join us as a day volunteer to help support Camp's summer programming. Workshop volunteers can register for a time slot to help on opening days, closing days, or throughout the week. All first-time workshop volunteers must have previous experience volunteering at Camp or have attended an orientation. *Some volunteer slots require a pre-approval. Virtual Opportunities - CampOut

April 1 - Monthly Virtual Campfire (5:30pm-8:00pm)

Zoom

Volunteer to support CampOut's Virtual Campfire, where we'll work with Camp families to create a night of fun and joy. Volunteers will help support staff in breakout rooms, with chat moderation and by fostering camaraderie between Camp families. Volunteers must have previous experience volunteering at a Camp Program and attended a Virtual Volunteer Orientation. Register Here!

In Person Opportunities- CampOut

April 26 - Game Night Gathering (11:30am-3:30pm)

New Haven

Volunteer to support CampOut’s Game Night Gathering event to enjoy an afternoon of game play with Camp families. Volunteers will help support staff with check-in, and playing board games and fostering camaraderie with Camp families. Volunteers must have previous experience in Camp's Summer, Weekend or Fun Day programs, or have attended an Outreach Orientation. Register Here!

Development Event Opportunities

May 17 Camp Challenge (various shifts) 

Ashford, CT

Support Camp Challenge 5K and Trail race FUNraisers! This event will include a 5K run/walk and a long-distance trail race on Camp. Volunteers will assist in a variety of ways to support the event operations from registration and parking to handing out water and cheering! This event has volunteer opportunities for all ages! May 18 Bandit Round Up

Ashford, CT

Support The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp at Bandit Round Up as we invite community members to visit Camp for a ‘hole’ afternoon of fun including lunch, program area activities, tours, and a special presentation featuring a camper family. Volunteers will assist with facilitating guest parking, registration, golf cart shuttling, presentation ushering, and tour stops. This event is open to volunteers who are 18 years of age and older. June 18-22 Travelers Championship

Cromwell

As one of the charity beneficiaries of the Travelers Championship, Camp staffs a family-friendly tent in the FanZone and provides Gallery Management Ambassadors (formerly called Hole Marshals) on Hole 18. Full day opportunities for the Gallery Management Ambassadors (GMA) and half day opportunities for the FanZone are available each day. All of the volunteer opportunities are for ages 16 and older. April 25 - CCMC Superhero Day (9:15am-4:30pm)

Hartford

Volunteer with Hospital Outreach Program (HOP) staff to provide a fun-filled day of activities at Superhero Day at Connecticut Children's Medical Center! Volunteers must have previous experience at either Camp's Summer/Weekend Program or attended an Outreach Orientation. Register Here!
